Ishida Europe Ltd. Multihead Weighers and Packing Line Solutions

Ishida Europe forms part of the global €700M Ishida group which is a world leader in the design, manufacture and installation of complete weighing and packing line solutions. These solutions range from designing and setting up entire new packing halls to providing a single machine to perform a specific task.

Ishida Europe has its headquarters in Birmingham, UK, serving Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has been established in the UK since 1985.

The range includes multihead weighers, fresh food weighers, snack food bagmakers, checkweighers, x-ray inspection systems, quality control systems, traysealers and the software that integrates them with both Ishida and other manufacturers' equipment.

In addition, Ishida produces the conveyors, tray denesters, gantries and other equipment that enables overall systems to function smoothly and reliably.

Multihead Weighers

Ishida invented the multihead weigher back in the 1970's and launched it into the food industry across the world. Today, Ishida have an extensive range of multihead weighers suited to many food and non-food applications. From entry-level to high-specification models, all Ishida's multihead weighers combine high-speed operation with unparalled accuracy and reliability.

Snack Food Bagmakers

Ishida offers a fully integrated, single-manufacturer multihead weigher and bagmaker combinations for snacks. Years of experience with both machines have enabled Ishida to optimize the physical and electronic interfaces to enhance speed and reduce weighment spread.

Checkweighers

Ishida DACS checkweighers play an important part, all over the world, in ensuring that packs are compliant with the demands of legislation, whether average weight or minimum weight.

The company has been manufacturing checkweighers for many decades, and continues to build all its own load cells to ensure that each weigher meets the stringent accuracy and reliability standards that have become associated with the brand.

All DACS weighers have an integrated remote control unit and printer. A variety of reject devices are available and integrated metal detection is an option.

X-Ray Inspection Systems

Ishida's IX-GA X-Ray Inspection Systems can be used at any stage in your process to accurately detect and locate a wide range of foreign bodies, ranging from bone fragments to hard rubber.

They can also be used to quality control many other parameters, such as the number of pieces in a pack, product thickness and product shape.

Ishida IX-GA systems work with all types of packaging and can even penetrate metal cans and aluminium foil, picking up foreign bodies or particles down to 0.5mm diameter. A special masking feature enables them to ignore specified objects such as metal clips and other packaging items.

In a trial conducted by a major European meat institute, the Ishida system proved more sensitive than those of five other major suppliers.

Traysealers

Ishida Europe has launched a brand new state of the art range of traysealers offering customers anything from the semi-automatic QX300 through to the flexible QX1100 including its unique split dual lane system.

The new QX FLEX range combines compact designs with high speeds for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high quality pack- and product presentation.

The new upgraded models are suitable for any product type including ready meals, meat, poultry, fish and salads. The systems are also compatible with a variety of packaging applications including standard MAP, Skinpack and shrink film applications.
