Manufacturers, distributors and manufacturer representatives in retail packaging recognized the need to hold an annual meeting to facilitate new business development and networking. As a result, the RPA was formed in 1989. The association’s sole purpose at that time was to organize a trade show specifically for retail packaging professionals. Today RPA hosts the largest trade show and conference of its kind in the U.S. and is a pre-eminent resource for the industry.
RPA provides comprehensive educational and networking opportunities and has over 1000 members representing all entities of retail packaging nationwide and abroad.

The Retail Packaging Manufacturers Association (RPMA) will hold its 14th convention, A Powerful Vision, March 5-7, 2003 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The show is the largest of its kind dedicated exclusively to the retail packaging industry.
