FP International manufactures protective packaging products and packaging systems, including air cushions, loose fill made of 100% recycled polystyrene, potato starch loose fill, and Kraft paper cushioning. The company also designs and makes custom dispensing/storage systems for air cushions and loose fill.
In the United States, the company has sales/manufacturing facilities in California, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, and Massachusetts. FP International has subsidiaries in England, France, Germany and Holland and a licensee in Australia.
In addition to manufacturing protective packaging, FP International recycles polystyrene foam (EPS) packaging and uses the polystyrene it recycles to make new loose fill packaging. With five recycling operations in the U.S. and one in the United Kingdom, the company recycled over 11 million pounds of EPS in 2002.
Founder and current president Arthur Graham incorporated the company in 1967 as Free-Flow Packaging Corporation to manufacture and sell FLO-PAK loose fill packaging. In the last decade, the company expanded its product lines, adopted the trade name FP International and changed its legal name to Free-Flow Packaging International, Inc. FP International is a privately held company with over 500 employees worldwide and 2002 annual sales of $79 million (U.S. dollars).
