We specialise in the production of Packaging, Gaskets, Seals, Acoustic Control products and Engineering Plastic components. Kitting service is also available.
Caledonian Industries Ltd are long established as a materials technology and manufacturing organisation. Located in Glasgow, adjacent to both the airport and motorway, we are well placed to supply any industry including electronics, automotive and telecommunications.
Our experience and knowledge of precision foam and engineering-plastics has fuelled our growth as a key supplier of packaging products and foam components for mobile phones and base stations. Ongoing innovation and performance continues to keep us at the forefront in supplying seals and gaskets for the oil, gas and automotive Industries
Our packaging materials provide high levels of protection during distribution and storage adding to your products presentation and merchandising appeal.
Polyurethane foam can be formulated to give high load-bearing properties. These formulations give optimum protection in various packaging applications from computer disk drives to medical ventilators.
Polyurethane foam can also be formulated to give anti-static properties for use in electronic packaging.
Polyethylene foams are closed-cell construction and available in non or cross-linked forms. They are a tough,
flexible and resilient packaging material which can also be thermoformed into simple and complex shapes. Polyethylene foams can also be supplied with either fire-retardant or anti-static properties.
Their closed-cell construction gives resistance to fluid absorption.
Polyethylene foam is suitable for protection of high volume delicate goods weighing several kilograms or more. Other materials are available as required.
Caledonian Industries Ltd have over 30 years experience in providing innovative packaging solutions. Our range of foams provide outstanding anti-scratch, impact protection for a variety of returnable packaging applications from complete case, box and tray inserts to stand alone dunnage and composite fixtures, where the foam is used selectively as individual pads.
To overcome static shock effect on sensitive equipment permanently static dissipative, protective foams can be used.
Non-toxic foams and thermoplastic materials are used to provide durable protective packaging to the medical industry. Our vast product range along with strategic alliances allows us to supply the industry with high quality products.
Our portfolio of high performance materials and strategic alliances with major materials manufacturers allows us to satisfy the demanding requirements of the aerospace & defence industries. Materials include foams and elastomers which in turn include thermal or electrically conductive fillers or encapsulation.
High integrity foams with consistent cell size are used to provide automotive seals, gaskets, void fillers and insulation. They are also used for internal door linings, water shedders, crash protection and energy management components.
We are long established in the supply chain of many multi-national organisations, producing precision cut materials, laminated composites and a wide range of foam components for noise control.
The horizontal slitting machines installed are able to process blocks of flexible foam and sponge, both open & closed cell, to supply sheets of the required thickness.
Our adhesive coating and laminating facility is equipped with specialist machinery enabling us to deal with the varied production demands that are placed upon us.
The comprehensive selection of specialist production machinery installed includes reciprocating and rotary die-cutting presses for the manufacture of gaskets, seals, die-cut and "kiss-cut" components in a wide range of sealing, noise control, shock/vibration absorbing, electrical insulating and RFI/EMI materials.
The sub-assembly processes that we carry out involve mainly the application of self-adhesive, die-cut components, of our own manufacture, to plastic injection moulded components or metal pressings.
