Cost-efficiency
Creating a can by the ennobling of poor and natural material such as cardboard exploiting its folds as strength points, permits the realization of products with an extremely advantageous cost/performance ratio. Reduction of the number of components makes the process easier and is a further source saving
As an example: comparing this can with a metallic can we have a saving in weight for a 500 cc can, in ration of about 1 : 7,5
Important
If Meij-can contains coffee, a slim one-way degassing valve may become an integrated component.
Reliability
By this term, we mean the guarantee, to the costumer that a product cannot be/has not been manipulated or modified product.
The can has two components: basic structure with the cap and the film material
The film material is glued to the can, making a single unit
The film is lazer cut along pre-designed lines to mke its opening easier, with finger-presure only.
The opening of the lid is always a safe operation, given that the cardboard lid can not produce the blade effect, that can caused by the classic metal/aluminium tag.

Easy to use
The original opening system of the menbrame by means of finger-presssure only due to the pre-cut, allows the opening of the can along a pre-designed line
The opening is easier when the film is lazer perforated (only on the 1 laminate layer) as happens with the normal can with tear-stripping
In this way the foil makes the cap airtight, while the cardboard the Meij-can's rigidity.
The cap locking system allow the partial consumption of the product inside, eliminating the problem of spillage.
Ecology - Recycleability
The basic can, being made of cardboard only, is completely recyclable, resulting in a taxation cost saving
The airtight can has a detachable film inside, witch can be removed from the outside can, allowing the separate collection of waste. Here again there is a taxation costs saving, due to the fact that said tatation, with is higher for plastic film is applicable only to the lightest component of the can.
