Allen Coding Systems, a division of ITW and one of the UK's leading manufacturers of thermal transfer and hot foil coding and marking equipment for the pharmaceutical, beverage, food, chemical and cosmetics sectors - has introduced a new TP Series of flexible inline intermittent or continuous thermal transfer printers for high speed application of vital fixed and / or variable data on a wide range of packaging substrates.

The new cost effective TP Series comprises the unique TP4000 and TP4100 multihead thermal transfer printers specially designed to handle the high throughputs offered by a wide variety of multilane packaging equipment. Both machines use multiple heads to print to numerous lanes simultaneously.

The TP4000 offers a maximum of six heads printing at speeds up to 250mm per second and a print area of 52mm or 106mm (width) x 200mm (length). The TP4100 has a maximum of 14 heads printing up to 150mm per second with print area measuring 56mm x 30mm. Each print head can be dedicated to one lane or configured for multiple lanes, and positioned at any point along the head carriage.

Allen Coding's robust TP2100B multilane single head traversing thermal transfer printer is purpose built to meet the most demanding production environments. The traversing unit helps improve uptime with uniform print consistency and fast ribbon changeover. The TP2100B offers a print area measuring 106mm x 600mm.

The TP Series easily integrates into existing lines and improve product security and tracking by reproducing bar codes, real time information, sell-by dates, batch numbers, graphics, prices, and source codes.

Easy to use and fully adjustable, the TP Series offers a self-contained programming handset with simple operating system designed to allow quick editing and creation of print designs.
