SubscribeD.W. Renzmann introduce Cleanflex, a new clean and efficient pressroom cleaning machine
"While many printers in the UK quote, compete for and land jobs on the narrowest of margins, price is obviously not the sole driver of profit. Printers must control costs on many levels and use newly available technologies to improve manufacturing efficiencies. Good housekeeping practices, ensuring that inks pans, doctor blades, anilox rollers and other press components are kept clean and free from contaminants and ink residues pays dividends in terms of higher print quality and uninterrupted workflow," says Mike Attard of Eurograv Ltd.
With the need for lighting quick changeovers and equally fast set-ups the time pressed printer will benefit from the Renzmann CLEANflex washing machine, designed to simplify pressroom cleaning. Mike Attard says that the CLEANflex is a compact system with a small footprint, which can be installed next to the press.
This ATEX compliant machine is a plug-in and wash system which can be operated directly after being attached to the water and power supply. The high cleaning effectiveness of CLEANflex is achieved by a rotating jet nozzle cleaning system. With this versatile system up to eight inking unit can be cleaned simultaneously.
CLEANflex is suitable for narrow, mid and wider web width applications and is available to suit working widths of 600mm, 1200mm and 1800mm. The system can accommodate a wide range of cleaning agents: solvents with a flashpoint >550C and aqueous cleaning agents. The system can also be used for the cleaning of parts/components contaminated by UV-based and litho inks
Mike Attard says that Eurograv have sold more than 250 Renzmann washing and solvent distillation units in the UK and Eire. Systems are supplied to customers following on-site evaluation to ensure customers obtain the best system available for their purpose. Renzmann systems comply with current safety regulations for accident prevention and meet VDE and EN standards. When using solvents all systems supplied are explosion proof and conform to European ATEX 100 regulations.
In some instance Eurograv has supplied washing units together with distillation machines to customers, some of which operate in the flexible packaging sector. Renzmann Roto distillation units are able to recover expensive waste inks and spent solvent and then distil them back into useable materials. The Roto features a self-cleaning rotor and nitro-cellulose safety package designed to prevent an exothermic reaction inside the machine.
