SubscribeSpanish packaging machinery manufacturer BOSSAR has launched the BL-3000, a horizontal pouch-packing machine that reaches a mechanical speed up to 240 stand-up pouches per minute and a production speed up to 180 ppm for a standard liquid product.

This machine is designed specially for the liquid and paste filling industries, using stainless steel construction to facilitate high-pressure external wash down.
The BL-3000’s modular design allows the same mechanisms to be configured for the production of Simplex, Duplex or Triplex formats, according to user requirements. The machine uses an unwinding system with an easy access film-splicing table that allows a film reel of up to one metre in diameter.

The bottom and vertical seal bars feature automatic jaw correction, which compensates for deviations in the eye-mark of the film. Filling is done in two triplex filling stations, allowing dosing at higher speeds. The top seal bars automatically retract for easy cleaning and maintenance.

As with other BOSSAR models, the BL-3000 is built for low cost maintenance and shorter downtime. The new design allows filling of different products in flat and Doy-pack® pouches, with value-added features such as zippers, fitments and straws.
