SubscribeSavoye Pack announce the development of a new PAC600 High Speed Carton Erector
For nearly 25 years SAVOYE have manufactured the innovative PAC600 carton erection and closing system. Whilst sales of this system show no signs of decline (in fact due to the demand for systems which require no void fill they are actually on the increase) SAVOYE recognized that there was an additional market for a PAC600 case without the shrink film, which when linked with the innovative JIVARO, HELOVA and C24 closing systems provides a world class packaging case with a ROI generally below 15 months.
The system comprises a 3 piece carton made up of base, sleeve and lid. The new erector automatically joins the sleeves and base together using a hot melt system at a maximum rate of 20 cartons/min. Each machine is capable of erecting 1 x footprint size and 2 heights without the need for manual changeover. A third height can be incorporated as standard which involves minor manual adjustments.
The PAC600 carton will provide up to 25% more strength than a standard rsc or ½ American case and due to the innovative design will use between 5 and 10% less corrugated depending upon the case size.
The launch has been so successful that 7 machines have already been sold "off plan" with many more potential customers showing a healthy interest.
