The experience gained over 80 years and the extensive knowledge over three product categories has recently been successfully combined with a re-branding exercise that has given the company a new fresh and modern image. However, the re-launch has been more than just superficial, it has involved significant investment in processes and systems and the implementation of a new mission and corporate strategy.
The re-branding will build on the values that have made the company such a success with its customers in the past. Miss Staff, the Managing Director is keen to retain the company’s heritage and sees it as essential that the values that have served the company so well are not lost. Rather they are to be used as a basis for development to drive the company forward and offer customers constantly improving service levels.
Part of the modernisation programme has involved a new website (www.chevler.co.uk), brochure and company logo. The aim has been to become even more market focused, to increase awareness and broaden the customer base.
In conjunction with the new image the board have constructed a new corporate strategy, which provides a framework for growth over the next 3-5 years. The board and a strong senior management team who will work to adapt the company to meet the changing needs of the market will implement it.
Developments are already in progress at Chevler packaging, they
- Have recently invested in a new Enterprise Resource Planning System to streamline operations and improve the level of customer service.
- Have been awarded the BRC/IoP Packaging Standard for its crimped cases, paper/board and plastic products.
- Have invested in two new state of the art thermoforming machines at its Plastics division in Bristol
- Have new employees in some key roles to drive the company forward, for example a new operations manager, production planner and marketing executive.
And things don’t stop there. There are further developments in the pipeline. The company are planning further, significant investments in new plant, are aiming to expand their customer base to include wider packaging opportunities and will be looking to progress further with health and hygiene awards.
With a successful past to build upon and realistic, focused and progressive objectives under a new Managing Director the future looks bright for Chevler Packaging.
