The dramatic decrease in ink evaporation, which in turn reduces the amount of makeup consumed is a core benefit of the ciSeries range. Calculated at 3ml/hour, the makeup consumption is by far the best in the industry, with competitor rates being calculated at 6ml to 10ml/hour.
With a Glycol version of the ci500 also available, ink evaporation is further reduced allowing operation without adding makeup. Fluid consumption is improved to an incredible rate of only .15ml/hour, therefore offering the safest and most affordable coding and marking solution by far.

Design features
The rugged and compact IP65 or IP53 rated industrial, complete stainless steel enclosures allow operation in the most extreme wet or dry applications. Complemented by a state-of-the-art single board surface mount electronics technology and integrated smart printhead and ink system components, operating settings are automatically adjusted dependent on the environment. Standard throughout the ciSeries range, these features were developed to maintain optimum print quality and enable operation in cold temperature environments.
With integrated hardware as standard, Citronix systems have Ethernet, multiple RS232, RS485, multi programmable inputs, and multiple programmable outputs including a solid-state relay output providing unparalleled communications flexibility. The systems can accomplish multiple communication tasks at the same time.
With these communications enabling information to be delivered to/from the systems simultaneously, communication to remote systems and remote interfaces, as well as database connectivity, is allowed. Scanners can also be used for scan and shoot operation allowing messages to be recalled locally or remotely. Inputs provide the ability for remote message selection and outputs provide methods to communicate warning or system faults.
