DVT has introduced a powerful new inspection tool, the Legend LS Line Scan vision system. The LS line scan camera gives customers a much broader range of inspection capabilities.
The Line Scan Legend LS incorporates a Texas Instruments DSP processor and features a 2K linear sensor yielding images up to 18,000 lines per second. The Line Scan LS, which will use DVT’s new software, Intellect, can unwrap cylindrical objects for label inspection and can scan an object to obtain a high resolution image.
Using an encoder feature in Intellect, the Line Scan provides consistent sampling for a number of applications. In some cases, it is suitable for applications that formerly required a cluster of high-resolution cameras.
Intellect – New user interface software
Intellect, easily DVT’s most widely anticipated software release, is now available. As DVT users are trained in Intellect, they will realise a number of benefits that will maximize the power of DVT’s 16 machine vision product line.
Comprehensive changes across the board have resulted in much easier to use, much more powerful software product with a wide array of new features that usher in big customer benefits. As always is the case with DVT, this major new software release is offered absolutely free.
