New Airknife Bottle Drying machine is quieter and user friendly

Air Control Industries Ltd

A new quieter and more ergonomically designed bottle drying machine has been introduced by Air Control Industries (ACI) of Chard.

Based upon ACI's energy efficient, blower-powered 'Airknife' system, the new bottle drying unit has a fully enclosed drying chamber that both reduces noise levels and provides enhanced safety.

The transparent enclosure walls permit visual monitoring of the drying process. Safety switches can be fitted to the doors as an option. Improved ergonomics result from a new design for the stainless steel blower housing. Instead of the blower housing being mounted on legs above the bottle carrying conveyor, the new design has the housing installed below the conveyor and acts as a line support.

This new configuration facilitates access for maintenance whilst being more robust. It also improves overall aesthetic appearance. Footprint area is 1500 x 1000 mm. Maximum throughput capabilities range from 15,000 bottles/hour for 2.5 litre bottles up to 55,000 for 0.3 litre bottles. To verify ACI's Airknife systems capabilities and suitability for applications, free, on-site demonstrations can be arranged.
