By choosing to invest into a curtain slide die from TSE Troller, Herma has decided to invest into an economically and quality wise top coating method. Compared to old methods the "Troller Die" allows to coat contactless two layers in one run.
The coating is done at a width greater than two meters. With this solution also the coating speed could have been risen. All these issues helped to amplify the former capacity three times.
The die is practically the core element in the complete coating line built by Polytype, and is influencing very strongly the performance and the quality of it. The optimization of the liquid distribution in the die and the very precise manufacturing process solves to fulfill the high requirements of labeling.
Due to the precise liquid distribution very thin layers can be coated, which still fulfill the desired functions.
As it is a premetered coating method, there will be no waste of coating liquid which otherwise would have be to refurbished and recycled. Among ecological advantages the dies require also less maintenance. As the dies do not have any movable parts the wear will be very low.
Also the cleaning of it can be done mainly by flushing, which reduces set up times. With the new Troller die, Herma sets new standards in the label production.
