Absolute Engineering, The World’s largest supplier of Carbon Fibre Chambered Doctor Blades, has hailed IPEX as a huge success, with a significant amount of new enquiries, and massive interest in Absolutes latest development, the I-MAX inking system.
Antony Whiteside of Absolute confirmed," The show was a resounding success, we were unsure of the potential, but we received visitors from all over the world, with particular interest from Europe and the Far East, as well as South Africa and Australia. We also had success in attracting potential Agents to help us expand further internationally".
The main focus of the Absolute stand was the working I-MAX demonstration unit. This clearly showed how the new ink system can empty all the ink from a chamber in one minute, reducing downtime significantly. By comparison, the standard chamber was still 90% full!
The payback on I-MAX is rapid, as it saves the customer both ink and the huge downstream costs associated with cleaning waste wash solution prior to disposal. Absolute have spent the last 18 months developing the technology and ensuring the intellectual property is secure prior to launching the product.
David Burke, Absolute Technical Director was equally pleased with the launch " We spent a great deal of time ensuring that I-MAX was utterly reliable and did not detract from the simple cleaning and setting features of our well established Second Generation woven carbon fibre chamber.
This was not easy, but I am very happy with the result. We are now planning to invite selected customers to the factory to see the unit performing on our 1900mm (76") demonstration line"
