From the beginning, the original founders of the company saw the need for a fast moving supplier to react to the fact that fewer and fewer customers wanted to hold stock of bulky, low value items such as tubes and cores.
"Traditionally, customers were expected to take full trailer loads of tubes and wait for up to 4 weeks to get them", said Bill Barnett, the Managing Director. "From the outset, we let the customer tell us what he wanted and when he wanted them. That philosophy still holds true today. Our regular customers come to rely on us as a resource, so we take that responsibility very seriously".
The company is still managed by the original team who, between them, have more than 80 years of experience in the UK packaging industry. Bill Barnett again " In our time in business, we have seen vast changes in the way the UK packaging market operates. Material suppliers come from much further afield, the cost pressures on packaging and the environmental needs are all significant factors that have made it far more demanding than in the past.
