Air Leakage Test
UN Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations, Paragraph 6.1.5.4.
This test checks the integrity of the container and closure. The container is submerged in water for 5 minutes to a pressure determined by the group classification as illustrated right.
Internal Pressure Test
UN Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations, Paragraph 6.1.5.5.
Containers filled with water are fitted with an adaptor and held at a hydraulic pressure for 30 minutes at 12°C for plastics (5 minutes at ambient for metals). The minimum pressure is determined by the group classification as illustrated above.
