Alpha Marathons High Efficiency Air Bubble Co-Ex line is Capable of delivering 7 Layers of different types of poly on the top sheet, and 7 Layers of different types of Materials on the bottom Sheet.
End users are pushing Air bubble Material Manufacturers to deliver stronger, and yet Lighter Bubble Material. Accordingly, these demands have forced Alpha Marathon’s Engineer’s to design the latest technologies in Air Bubble Making Machinery. In order to achieve this Alpha Marathon has developed a 7 layer Co-Ex Cast Bubble Line to deliver lighter and stronger Bubble.
This Air Bubble Co-Ex Line allows bubble manufacture to use a variety of different Blends of Prime, Off-spec and Reprocessed Material to suit the stringent quality and cost requirements of barrier material to best suit the end users needs.
New Redesigned Bubble forming Cylinders feature a High Volume capacity cooling chamber that is capable of forming and sealing Air Bubble at 300 feet per minute, or as fast as operators are capable of removing Bubble rolls from the winder. Stored on a Carousel System, Bubble Forming cylinders can be changed rapidly, eliminating down time and reducing Material Waste.
Also featured are Bubble Molds with three (3) different types and shapes of bubble, to satisfy the most exotic demands in the packaging Industry.
The Fully Automatic Air Bubble Winder
Winding Technology for Bubble Packaging Material at Alpha Marathon is getting a Face Lift. As Air Bubble machinery deliver more output, winders must respond to the increased demand to handle the High Speed of Bubble Manufacture.
Alpha’s new Fully Automatic Air Bubble Winder has the capability of automatic loading where the cores on the Airshaft wind Air Bubble material at a very Low tension avoiding damaging the bubble. Furthermore, this specialized winder allows for the removal of the finished roll from the Air Shaft, and discarding the roll onto a conveyor. It is then rolled into an automatic Roll bagging machine and then shrink wrapped through a heat tunnel.
This New 8 foot wide Automatic Turret Winder with Auto-cut Off is capable of winding bubble with core or without core. This winder incorporates Alpha Marathon’s Tape-less applicator, which eliminates the need to use an adhesive or tape on the core. Therefore, reducing the over-head cost even further.
Two important components of this fully automatic winder are the perforator station and slitting station.
The perforating station operated by a servo Drive Capable of perforating at as low as 3 inches internal at a speed of 300 feet per minute. By re-setting the perforator counter, the operator can change length of the perforation automatically.
The Slitter Station is made with high velocity rotary blade, cutting the bubble material perfectly on top of a grooved aluminum roller, eliminating the replacement aluminum roller, eliminating the replacement of Doll cutting Blades are mounted on a drive shaft, allowing to position the cutting blade where needed.
Third Layer Lamination Station
Optional on this new state of the Art 7-layer air bubble Cast Line is a laminator station. Positioned between the bubble forming station and the winder this laminator station allows the processor to laminate coated materials on top of the bubble cup. The third layer of material can be film sheet from a roll or from cast extruded.
Other Materials that could be used are Polyethylene foam coated craft materials and other types of material coated with polyethylene. A feature of this laminator is the sophisticated electronic control capable of adjusting its speed, to match the speed of the bubble line, maintaining the proper tension without distorting the web.
