Logopak, invertors of print and apply labelling have just been awarded the first part of the third phase of a new production facility by the UK's prime fruit juice manufacturer.
The first part involves the supply of a new “single stop” Logopak 920 pallet labeller for “island 1” in “PHASE THREE” of the facility just off the M5 in Somerset.
Logopak have been awarded PHASE TWO after another supplier had originally won Phase One of the facility.
However due to reliability and service issues in the first Phase, Logopak were awarded Phase Two, and on the basis of more the reliable equipment which Logopak supplied, now have been awarded the contract for PHASE THREE.
Phase TWO for Logopak included Logopak supplying twelve 515 B90 case labellers integrated into a line management solution by Autocoding Systems of Cheshire, which supplies the labellers data to be printed in conjunction with the same data being sent to laser and inkjet coders.
Four Logopak 920 single stop pallet labellers were also supplied for two pallet islands in phase two and again connected to Autocoding Systems solution.
Phase three is initially intended to have a similar number of production lines and pallet islands with this new Logopak 920 installation, being the first in this site.
The products to be labelled are cartons of fruit juices and drinks produced under license or for retailer own brand supply.
Logopak had supplied 5 x 806B90 case labellers to the original production facility of this manufacturer in 1997 all of which are still in daily use, this being one of the main reasons why, today, this company has the confidence to award Logopak phase three in this important project.
Logopak is a leading supplier of industrial automated print & apply labelling systems and is based in York.
