Aston Manor Brewery has purchased a POWERDRY machine as part of a turnkey production system which includes a labelling machine supplied by Kosme.

The presence of moisture on bottles can cause missed or poorly aligned labels, especially at high speeds, so the POWERDRY works to compliment a labelling machine by ensuring that water and condensation does not interfere with the labelling process. This ensures optimum output from the label applicator and maximum quality in product presentation.

Paul Clifford, Engineering Director at Aston Manor, used the machine throughout the summer months and has not encountered problems due to condensation. David Hill, Shift Manager (pictured), commented, “The Secomak machine has aided production efficiencies”. Richard Portman, Managing Director of Kosme UK, added, “the machine complemented the Kosme labeller”.

It is available in a range of sizes, from 4kW to 15kW, and the doors lift-up ‘gull-wing’ style to save on floor space, minimising footprint. There are a number of special features to aid setting and speed-up change over times.
